Hiding notes in Finale automatically mutes them, as that is usually what is wanted. So, when the plugin does what it does, those notes get muted. The easiest way to unmute them is with the JW change plugin. I have to do this as well every time I use the Beam Across Barlines plugin.

The easy way is to select both measures, and use the Merge Measures Plugin. At least, it seems to work for me on Windows. Maybe Mac doesn't have that Plugin.

The plugin does what it does by creating fancy tuplets. Sometimes Finale has issues with copy/paste with tuplets. Could you post a sample file with the measure in question so we can investigate the behavior and see if we have any insights?

Many of the template settings can be saved as a Library. Then, load the Library into the existing score. Another possibility is using the Score Merger feature. First you need to export the Audio to a file. With GM, you can export an mp3 or wav file. With Garritan, you can only export to wav. I then import those into Audacity, then export as mp3, which are much smaller. I then put those on a thumb drive (USB stick).

I got tiling properly on Windows with direct print from Finale and Print to CutePDF. So, I am guessing it is uniquely a MAC issue. Windows works fine. I would report this to tech support and see what they say.

You might have to replace the hard space with another blank character. I've seen something similar in the past. Of course, I'm on Windows, and I know Mac operates somewhat differently.

It sounds to me that the question is about importing a tiff and have it convert to notation. I believe 2012 was the last version that did that. They removed that feature with pressure from publishers concerned that music was illegally being scanned and converted.

Something I forgot to mention: in your file, the Percussion 2 staff is not set up as a Percussion Staff, just a Blank Staff. You can't get proper percussion notation or playback unless you create it as a Percussion Staff.

I don't think they ever came with Finale. You need to download them from Jari's website. For v26, you'll need to download the 64-bit version. They are zipped files. Unzip them and place them in the plugins folder. I usually create a sub folder for the JW plugins.

If you go to Concert Pitch and apply the tie, it sticks when you go back to Transposed Pitch. However, entering and exiting Speedy Entry in that measure will cause them to disappear again, even though they play back correctly.

One oddity is that if you choose to Display in Concert Pitch, using the playback controls, the ties appear during playback, then disappear when playback stops. HP needs to be set to something other than None.

Might need to see a Finale file. Are you going to F# minor or A? Also, the bottom not of the Flute part is going from F to E, so that shouldn't be a tie. I know that doesn't address the trumpet issue, but knowing the type of key for the 3 sharps is needed.
