MakeMusic announced the end of Finale yesterday. While they posted the message on the Finale Blog, they did not post the message on the main MakeMusic blog. Unfortunately, the only explanation I can come up with is the account must have posted spam. That is the only reason both the account and the posts would be deleted. Sorry I don't have a better answer.

You need to go in and remove one of the attachments from the attachments tab. I edited the first one and now it only shows one file.

The only thing you can do is re-attach them to your post by editing it to get it back in the database.

We were able to do a partial restore from a backup on 9/1/2020 and merge it with the new attachments since September 17, 2020. Please check your attachments and see if some missing ones turned up. We have made no changes to the forum software since 2019 so I cannot explain this.

I am unable to duplicate this problem. I can attach a file (image or .mus) then delete it. I can attach a file, preview the post, then delete the file.

I don't think that's it. I think it's more likely that if you edited a post that already had an attachment, there may be a bug in the forum software that doesn't grab all the attachments when you save the edit. We're still looking into it.

Motet reported this issue yesterday. There is no automatic removal of attachments by age or any other metric. We don't randomly or automatically prune the forum. I suggest you get a cloud space provider and link to your files there (Dropbox, Google Drive, OneDrive, etc.).

The limit should be 250k.
