I haven't been able to create a compressed audio file. I checked the User Manual site and what was given there does not come up on my screen. I would like to find out how I can create an .mp3 for a finale notation file.

I don't have V. 26, but unless they've changed it, pick Export/Audio file from the File menu and you should see this at the bottom of the screen.
. .
If you don't, another option would be to install the free Audacity program and use that to convert .wav to .mp3.

wbirkedahl,
Are you playing Finale through VST?
Export as .mp3 is only possible if you play Finale through MIDI.
